My recap of the latest comic is now up on Fandomania!

Giles might be back, but he’s not acting like his usual self. Or is he? Perhaps Ripper has come out to play again! The mystery of Giles and his return to the land of the living continues in this month’s issue. [Read More]

Ethan's on the cover, Ripper's inside, and it's the best deadly duo around :D

My review of the latest Buffy comic is now up on Fandomania.

Buffy’s back on the Slayer job full-time, but it’s not going to be an easy road for her. She left a lucrative position to return to her destiny and has to deal with zompire attacks, mentoring, and even teleportation. [Read More]

The artwork on Billy was seriously lacking and the absence of Devon just made me sad. Not sure if they're going to conveniently forget about him or what.

My recap of Willow #2 is now up on Fandomania.

Willow’s still trying to bring magic back, while also trying to stay alive on the dangerous journey she’s undertaken. It wouldn’t be a normal day for the Scooby Gang if someone wasn’t in mortal danger, though. And she’s got a great challenge in front of her, so I hope to see some continued action in future issues. [Read More]

I like Willow's companion. I hope he gets more storyline!

My review is out a day early on this issue.

With a twist ending that I don’t think anyone was expecting, this month’s issue of Angel and Faith was saved at the last minute from being another ho-hum storyline. We know the arc well by now. Angel wants to resurrect Giles and will do anything to accomplish that feat. Faith is sticking around to watch and wait until Angel crosses the line and then it’s up to her to pull him back, perhaps permanently. [Read More]

I'll admit that for 90% of the issue I was bored, but the twist ending made it all worth it.

Here's an early review of the latest BTVS comic!

Billy the Vampire Slayer’s story continues this month and he endears himself to readers even more. It’s often the non-lead characters that I find myself drawn to in the Jossverse comic series and that’s proven true once again with the emerging storyline between Billy and his Watcher, Devon. Forget Buffy, I could just read about these two every month and I’d be satisfied. [Read More]

Honestly, I could read about Billy and Devon every month and wouldn't miss Buffy that much. I just love their relationship and their attempts to make their own destines!

Willow has her own comic now and I reviewed Issue 1 for Fandomania.

Willow gets her own comic this month, as we see her continue her mission to bring magic back to the world. For those just coming in, there’s a nice backstory round-up so that everyone can be up to speed on how magic went away and how Willow ended up in a world quite unlike our own. With that knowledge, readers set off on a journey of hope that Willow can succeed where others have not. [Read More]

May she succeed in bringing magic back to the world!

It's called Angel and Faith, but there was no Faith this month :/

With a storyline that was split into two parts this month, we got more information on Angel’s destiny and the twins’ background. In time, Pearl, Nash, Angel and Faith will all meet up in an explosive battle, but for now we have to be satisfied with just getting more backstory. [Read More]

I'd read a comic with just Whistler, to be honest. Hoping we get the confrontation soon!

My review of the third issue of the Spike comic is now up on Fandomania.

Spike’s trying to make his way on his own, but with tag-along passengers and bug minions, it’s hard to do. Unfortunately, the wait to see how it all works out is prolonged another month, considering this issue felt more like a bridge than anything. We got to touch on a bit of the backstory between Pearl, Nash, and Spike, though not enough. We also got to see Spike being lured under Morgan’s spell and his bug minions being concerned. The plot’s advancing, just not as quickly as usual. [Read More]

Pretty much a bridge issue rather than an action-packed one, but still...Spike!

This month's issue doesn't even have Buffy in it, but I loved the characters we did see!

Some Slayers are chosen, but others take on the role because they want to change the world. That’s the premise we have going into this month’s issue of the Buffy comic. A new character is introduced and the title character doesn’t even appear, but I found myself totally involved and not missing her that much. [Read More]

My review of Angel and Faith #14 is now up on Fandomania. Looks like Willow's getting her own comic!

The promise of Dark Willow led us into this month’s storyline, but what emerged was a reaffirmation that Angel will go to great lengths to see his plans succeed. I’m not a fan of the ends justifying the means in this case. [Read More]

Issue comes out tomorrow.
